B. Adviser's Role

1. The role of the adviser is to advise the editor-in-chief, Editorial Board and individual staff members about news judgment, writing and placement, content, page design, professional ethics and conduct and other journalistic principles and techniques. (See Adviser Code of Ethics)

2. The adviser or his/he designee can often supply information that may be necessary to understand facts about a story or issue.

3. The adviser, or his/her designee, shall not impose editorial positions.

4. The adviser, or his designee, must be present at Editorial Board proceedings.
