B. Adviser's Role

- 1. The role of the adviser is to advise the editor-in-chief, Editorial Board and individual staff members about news judgment, writing and placement, content, page design, professional ethics and conduct and other journalistic principles and techniques. (See Adviser Code of Ethics)
- 2. The adviser or his/he designee can often supply information that may be necessary to understand facts about a story or issue.
- 3. The adviser, or his/her designee, shall not impose editorial positions.
- 4. The adviser, or his designee, must be present at Editorial Board proceedings.
